AUTHENTICITY
ARIAS supports those who are genuine and unapologetically themselves. ARIAS strives to provide an environment for those who need a diverse and supportive group to assist them in finding their true selves.
How Do We Demonstrate This?
How Do We Demonstrate This?
- This is the reason that our organization is open membership. We do not believe that you should be excluded from the opportunity to serve the community because of an aspect of who you are that perhaps might not gel with another unique individual that is interviewing you
COMPASSION
Members of ARIAS are compassionate. As a unique organization, ARIAS constantly strives to build a community infused with both humanity and dignity in order to create an ideal support system for members and the community.
How Do We Demonstrate This?
- We bring in diverse speakers from many walks of life in order to create awareness, and thus compassion, for many types of individuals
- We use our non-speaker meetings to participate in activities that bring awareness to the need for service in our local and global communities. It is easier to be compassionate when it stems from immersive understanding
DEDICATION
Members of ARIAS demonstrate the highest level of dedication to their studies, relationships, Texas A&M University, and this organization.
How Do We Demonstrate This?
- We expect members to meet their service points above all else - probation will occur for those who don't
- We want members to earn individual service points from participation in other organizations
- We want members to dedicate themselves to academic excellence - this will always warrant an excused absence from a meeting
EMPOWERMENT
Each member of ARIAS must be willing to empower their fellow organizational associates verbally, physically, and emotionally, as well as allow others to empower them. Through empowerment, one has the ability to not only grow stronger, but to become more confident. When one is confident, they shall thrive.
How Do We Demonstrate This?
- Members will be given resources to plan individual and small group service projects
- Members will be given meeting time to invite other members to join them at these planned meetings
INDEPENDENCE
ARIAS supports members in the process of becoming independent, self-sufficient individuals by providing opportunities for growth. Members are given the opportunity to express their independent goals and ambitions within the organization.
How Do We Demonstrate This?
- While we provide group service projects, the points system also carries the expectation for members to plan or participate in member-led service projects
- Members are given the opportunity to join committees and handle organization responsibilities
SERVANT LEADERSHIP
ARIAS is an organization that primarily focuses on the core value of selfless service. ARIAS members empower one another to serve and demonstrate humility in their goals by selflessly serving communities on and off campus.
